Description

Crops grown using organic agriculture rely on natural resources like compost and manure rather than chemical insecticides and fertilizers. This process creates healthy, chemical-free food while maintaining soil fertility.

Duration of course: 3 years (6 semesters)

In organic agriculture, market demand, consumer health, animal welfare, and soil health are given top priority. Sustainable techniques, crop rotation, water conservation, and avoiding synthetic inputs are all included.

Approved by the UGC, the three-year undergraduate B.Voc program in Organic Agriculture gives students the information and practical skills they need to pursue a career in agriculture.

What are the benefits of pursuing a B.Voc in Organic Agriculture

A specialized undergraduate program called the Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc.) in Agriculture aims to provide students with information and practical skills pertaining to agriculture and its many facets. In order to prepare students for a future in the agriculture industry, the program emphasizes a hands-on learning method that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training.

The use of organic fertilizers, crop rotation, and integrated pest management are just a few of the many organic farming methods that students will learn. Students can use their agricultural expertise in the agricultural school thanks to the program's combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training. By ensuring that graduates were knowledgeable about running an organic farm, this strategy allowed them to contribute to the advancement of sustainable farming methods.
